The Mable Hamrick Whisnant Teen Center was opened in 2016 to address the need for more after-school and summer enrichment activities serving students who had aged out of our traditional elementary school programs. Through a strategic partnership with Cleveland County Schools, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland County renovated portions of Turning Point Academy to add a new controlled entryway, an air-conditioned gymnasium, a gameroom, a technology room, and homework classroom. Teen programs focus on academics, college and job readiness, and resiliency skills.
